I was obsessed with beauty from the age of 12: reading and practising techniques on friends and neighbours before enrolling at South Cheshire College in 1987. Two years later I passed my exams and left with a job offer from a local salon. My professional career started the day after I finished college!
I am a fully qualified Advanced Electrolysist and Beauty Therapist and gained my Advanced Paris Method accreditation with Clarins, working around the UK; later I trained in Advanced Electrolysis with both the British Institute and Association of Electrolysis (BIAE) and the Sterex International Academy. I'm also proud to hold the gold standard City and Guilds Electrical Epilation qualification.
I settled in Penketh in 2009, setting up Penketh Beauty in 2014. I moved to larger premises at Newspaper House in 2018, which is a wonderful old building on the outskirts of the area. I now offer three late nights every week plus Saturday mornings. I'm also on FaceBook and Instagram, feel free to follow/like me! xx
My main passions are skin care and permanent hair removal: I like to use plant based products that are not tested on animals and I prefer to offer treatments that are beneficial, not detrimental to the face and body. Blemish removal, improving skin conditions and age related issues are a big focus here at Penketh Beauty, as well as relaxing treatments to soothe the mind.
I hold diplomas from Spa Find, RegimA, NSL, LVL Lash, Gezanne and Redken amongst others and I'm also a member of The Beauty Therapists Guild and the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC).
Just recently I became a supporter of the Guild Green Salon Scheme, pledging to actively reduce my business carbon footprint.
I have over 30 years experience in bridal, photographic and everyday make up and offer tuition as well as application. Make up is a great way to have fun, enhance your appearance and express your individuality!
